Transcendent Treasures: Celebrating the Amazing STARS of Trans Drag Performers!

Hey, friends!

As we wrap up March, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate a group of artists who have helped shape the drag community into what it is today: our incredible trans drag performers.

While the world often tries to put people into neat little boxes, drag has always been about breaking those boxes apart. Trans performers have been at the heart of that work for decades—not just through incredible performances, but through their courage, visibility, and willingness to live authentically.

Their impact reaches far beyond the stage.

One of the things I admire most about trans drag performers is that they're constantly reminding us that there isn't one right way to exist. Every performer brings something different to the spotlight, and every story adds another layer to what drag can be.

Some performers are glamorous. Some are edgy. Some are hilarious. Some are political. Some are all of those things at once.

That's the beauty of drag.

It's also the beauty of being human.

I've learned that authenticity is one of the most powerful things a performer can bring to the stage. Audiences can tell when someone is being genuine, and trans performers often lead by example. They remind us that confidence doesn't come from fitting someone else's expectations—it comes from embracing who you are, even when the world tells you not to.

That kind of courage deserves to be celebrated.

Outside the spotlight, so many trans performers are also mentors, advocates, organizers, and community builders. They volunteer, raise money for important causes, support one another, and create spaces where people can feel safe being themselves.

The drag community wouldn't be what it is without them.

As we celebrate today, I also want to recognize that there isn't one "right" way to be trans.

Whether you've had surgery or not.

Whether you take hormones or not.

Whether you're incredibly feminine, deeply masculine, somewhere in between, or constantly evolving.

Your identity isn't determined by anyone else's checklist.

It's yours.

And it's worthy of respect.

That's something I hope our community never loses sight of.

So today, I'm celebrating every trans performer who's ever stepped onto a stage, every artist who's inspired someone else to be themselves, and every person who's helped make our drag community more welcoming, creative, and compassionate.

Thank you for your artistry.

Thank you for your courage.

And thank you for continuing to show the rest of us what's possible when people are free to be exactly who they are.

Keep performing.

Keep creating.

Keep taking up space.

We'll all be better for it.
